Over the last twelve months, the overall index has increased by 5.6%, which is 11.6% higher than during the market crash in February 2015.<\/p>\n Property prices rose by 18.9% in the Balearic and Canary Islands, while Mediterranean coastal areas rose by 14.8%. In metropolitan areas, figures rose by 9.2%, with the smallest improvement seen in "other municipalities" at 2.6%.<\/p>\n
The annual rates in the August assessment accelerated at the sharpest pace in regional capitals and other large cities at 9.8%, followed by 9.2% in the Balearic and Canary Islands and 4.8% and 2.4% for the Mediterranean coastal areas and metropolitan areas, respectively.<\/p>\n
Given that the recent trends have been slow but steady growth over the past two years, it is not expected to reverse anytime soon.<\/p>\n
