Where to find property on the Costa Blanca
With beaches to suit all tastes and a huge range of affordable homes, the Costa Blanca rivals the Costa del Sol for the title of the most popular destination in Spain. The Costa Blanca is divided into northern and southern parts and can be reached via Alicante Airport.
Southern Costa Blanca
Buying property in Orihuela Costa
A series of neighbouring beach resorts and residential communities run south of Torrevieja, forming the Orihuela Costa. Popular areas include Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Villamartin, Los Dols and Campoamor.
This is the busiest and most densely developed area of the Costa Blanca, home to the region's finest beach houses, luxury urbanisations of apartments, duplexes, bungalows and townhouses. Here you will be close to all amenities, beaches, the popular La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre. English is widely spoken here.

Budget from €80,000 for a two-bedroom apartment within walking distance of the sea, but a five-minute drive (or longer) to the center. For €100,000 you can buy an average townhouse near the beach.
Pilar de la Horadada is the southernmost resort on the Costa Blanca and combines a quiet old town with the beaches and marina at Torre de la Horadada. It is a more traditional, quieter option and resale prices for apartments here near the beach are around €90,000.
Buying property in Quesada
A few miles from Campoamor is the developing new town of Quesada. Prices range from €50,000 for a small apartment to €1 million for a luxury villa, but a reasonable price for a two-bedroom apartment is from €70,000.
Northern Costa Blanca
Buying property in Denia
Built around an old port town topped by an impressive castle, Denia is the northernmost resort on the Costa Blanca. The city is conveniently located, an hour from the airports of Alicante and Valencia, with the most beautiful 15 km of sandy beaches. Apartments near the beach from €100,000, average townhouses are from €130,000 to €200,000, villas from €220,000 to €450,000.
Buying property in Javea
Javea, a town set in a bay overlooking Mount Montgó, has become one of the Costa Blanca's trendiest resorts thanks to the development of its Arenal beach area with chic bars and restaurants. It also has a beautiful old town with winding streets and cosy tapas bars and a marina.

Beach apartments in Arenal are in short supply and cost from €150,000. Villas in residential areas such as Cap Martí, Tosalet, Cap de la Nau and Balcon al Mar are popular and cost from €300,000.
Buying property in Moraira
Moraira – A fishing village turned beautiful beach resort, Moraira occupies a picturesque location between low mountains. Two-bedroom apartments for under €120,000 in the centre of Moraira are hard to come by, although many buyers opt for a villa with private pool within walking distance of the town, which costs around €300,000. For more affordable options, drive ten minutes to one of the nearby areas such as Benissa Costa, Cumbre del Sol, Los Molinos, Les Fonts or Benitachell.
The coast to the south leads to the larger resort of Calpe, famous for the impressive Peñon de Ifach rock formation, which splits the resort into two beaches, each lined with multi-storey residential areas and restaurants. Frontline apartments here start from around €150,000.
