The most exquisite places in Madrid

Madrid is a huge city that is impossible to know completely, even if you have lived there for many years, as there are places for every taste. Many of these places are really interesting and offer a unique experience for the consumer.

This cafe has a story, and it is two young Ukrainians who did not find good coffee in Madrid. So they decided to open the WayCup Specialty Coffee room, a place where customers can enjoy hot or cold coffee, coffee with fresh milk … from beans of different origins (Colombia, Ethiopia, Mexico …). Spain is one of the countries where a lot of coffee is consumed, but also where it is prepared with the worst quality. "In Spain, roasted coffee was very harmful, and that is why it is important to work on improving the coffee culture," explains Pavel Kosarevich.

At this beer bar called Antoinette, the chef has set up his kitchen in the center of the main room. While you watch him cook, you can sip one of the 75 cocktails on the menu.

Sala Equis – the building in which it is located has unusual architecture and history. It was built in the first half of the 20th century in the courtyard of a neoclassical mansion, which from 1913 to 1933 housed the editorial office of the liberal newspaper El Imparcial, and now houses a restaurant of the same name. The cinema annex called Duque de Alba showed Hollywood classics until the 1980s, and then switched to erotic films. After its closure in 2015, they decided to set up a kind of cultural center here, where they show art-house films by Spanish directors, hold conferences and seminars, as well as music parties and concerts.
