Student accommodation in the UK offers guaranteed returns of 7%

The share of Russians investing in UK student apartments increased by 11% in 2015, according to Kalinka Group . The income from investments in this segment of the commercial real estate market is from 7% and increases annually by 1.5-2%.

Over the past nine years, student housing markets in English-speaking countries have grown almost eightfold. One of the most robust markets is in the UK, where student housing complexes have historically had 98% occupancy rates and a fifth of those living there are international students.

The range of prices for student accommodation in different cities of the country is very wide – you can buy a studio for £50 thousand, or build a complex of student apartments for £10 million. The rental yield will be from 7%.
