New buildings in Montenegro have increased in price by 8.1%

In the second quarter of 2015, the average price of new buildings in Montenegro was €1,160 per square meter, which is 8.1% higher than the quarter before and 1.9% more than the second quarter of last year. Such data was released by the Montenegrin statistical office Monstat.

Apartments in Budva on the primary market cost €1,603 per sq.m., which is 9.2% higher than a year earlier. According to the department, the resort capital of the country has the most expensive real estate in Montenegro.

Apartments in Bar have become even more expensive – by 18.5%. In the second quarter of 2015, their cost was €1187 per sq.m., while in the first quarter its price was €1001.

Positive dynamics are not typical for all regions of the country. Thus, in the second quarter of 2015 in Podgorica the cost of apartments in new buildings decreased by 1.5% and amounted to €1105 / 1 sq. m.

In total, 166 apartments in new buildings were sold in the capital of the country from April to June 2015. Among the large cities, the cheapest housing was offered in Niksic – the cost per square meter was estimated at €587.
