Turkish property buyers will not pay VAT

A Turkish parliamentarian has passed a law stating that a foreign buyer of Turkish real estate will not pay value added tax . From now on, according to the new law , those who purchase one office or residential property in Turkey are exempt from paying VAT , and the transaction itself must be paid in foreign currency . It is also specified that the buyer does not have the right to sell this property for a year , otherwise the entire amount of tax will have to be compensated to the state .
