Turkish companies' construction projects are among the best in the world
The authoritative Engineering News Record (ENR) magazine, which publishes materials on the construction industry, has named projects by two Turkish companies, Summa and TAV, as the best in their fields, the Turkish Contractors Association (TMB) reported. The Dakar International Congress Center (Summa) and the Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina (TAV) were among the best in the ENR awards, which are being held for the third year in a row.
The award ceremony took place on September 10 in New York.
“According to the annual report of ENR magazine, Turkey has ranked second after China in the number of contractors that have completed the largest volume of projects worldwide in the last seven years. We are proud of this. We congratulate Summa and TAV for their great contribution to making Turkey the best in the world,” said TMB President Mithat Yenigün.
In more than 20 years of its activity, Summa has completed over 70 turnkey projects in five countries and built buildings with a total area of over 1 million square meters. On the other hand, in less than a decade, TAV Construction has completed projects with a total value of $16 billion.
