Air traffic control registers record number of flights at Burgas airport.
The Bulgarian Air Traffic Services Authority (BULATSA) registered a record number of flights at Burgas Airport on Saturday. Local air traffic controllers safely handled 272 flights in just one day, setting a record for Bulgarian airports, BULATSA reported on Tuesday.
Around 3,000 aircraft fly over Bulgaria, land or take off from Bulgarian international airports every day. Burgas air traffic controllers worked very professionally and provided fast and safe air traffic control during the busiest times for Bulgarian airports. The summer season is a serious challenge for Bulgarian airports along the Black Sea coast due to the increase in tourists.
BULATSA serves air transport over Bulgaria and its delegated airspace over the Black Sea, as well as five international airports in this country – Sofia, Varna, Burgas , Plovdiv and Gorna Oryahovitsa .
BULATSA management thanks its colleagues for their professionalism, responsibility and safe work.
