Demand for real estate in Bulgaria's winter resorts has increased
Some of the most popular winter resorts in Bulgaria are Bansko, Pamporovo and Borovets. Over the three quarters of 2015, the demand for housing in the above-mentioned resort towns in Bulgaria increased sharply, which led to a 1.3% increase in real estate prices compared to 2014 prices. Thus, in the summer of 2014, the average price per square meter in Bansko reached €380, and the average transaction amount for purchasing an apartment was €26,000. For example, in Pamporovo, the cost of one square meter of an apartment reached €340, and in Borovets, approximately €580.
The rise in prices before the winter season was caused by the increased demand for housing in the winter resorts of Bulgaria, which may have affected the situation in the summer resort towns of Bulgaria. In 2015, the opposite situation developed in the summer resorts – a decrease in demand for real estate. The positive trend is only in the resorts near Varna, Sozopol and Lozenets. The average cost of one square meter in the above-mentioned resort towns is approximately 600 €.
