Getting to know Orihuela!

Orihuela is a municipality in the province of Alicante with a population of 82,675. It is located near Murcia Airport and Alicante Airport and is connected to them by the AP-7 motorway. The N332 national road connects Orihuela with the city of Torrevieja.

Every week there are dozens of flights from the UK and other European countries to Murcia and Alicante airports. Ryan Air, Monarch and EasyJet operate many cheap flights from the UK to these airports, so there are a lot of tourists.

There are many private taxis, buses and cars available from the airports that will take you to Orihuela.

Orihuela is a small town mainly inhabited by people from Scandinavia, Germany and the UK.

Orihuela is part of the Vega Baja region, which was once a major agricultural center. The main occupation here was citrus farming. It is the most beautiful, rich and fertile land, which is located in orange and lemon groves. It is one of the most bio-developed parts of Spain.

Orihuela has a perfect Mediterranean climate. It is never too hot or too cold. The average daytime temperature in summer is around 30 C and 15 C during winter. Every year all 330 days of sunshine are yours.

There are many beautiful beaches in the area such as La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Mil Palmeras, Punta Prima and Playa Flamenca.

Orihuela property market. There is a huge demand for houses, villas and apartments in Orihuela and across the Costa Blanca, especially from Scandinavian, German and Russian buyers. Property prices are rising by 10% each year. A typical two-bedroom apartment costs €120,000. And you can buy a villa from €170,000.
