What are the best times of year in Turkey?

Can I pay for everyday purchases in €?
Although some shops will accept your payments in €, it is highly recommended to use Turkish Lira. Don't worry, you can easily find a currency exchange office near your property.
What about medical services?
Türkiye has a world-famous medical reputation. There are 3 private fully equipped hospitals in Alanya. All hospitals have agreements with the world's largest insurance companies.
What is the general perception of local residents by foreigners?
Welcoming guests warmly is an integral part of Turkish culture. You can be sure that any time you visit Turkey, you will feel as comfortable as your home country (if not more comfortable).
Is it necessary to learn a language?
It is not necessary to learn the language, since it is generally widely spoken.
What documents do I need to purchase real estate?
All you need to buy property in Turkey is a passport and 6 photographs.
What are the main things I should be very careful about before buying a property?
There are no legal restrictions on purchasing property as a foreigner, with a few exceptions. The main one you should be aware of is that if the property is within 400m of a military zone, you are not allowed to officially own the property (i.e. without title) as all purchases from foreigners are sent to the military for a second inspection.

What is the buying process?
Once you have chosen your ideal property and signed the purchase contract, you need to take a few more steps to obtain your title deed (TAPU in Turkish). Our company representative will first take you to the tax office to obtain a tax number. The next step is to go to the notary and obtain a power of attorney in which you give us one-time authority to follow the procedure of transferring the purchase and ownership in your name.
How can I be sure I am making a safe purchase?
All our listings are fully checked by our real estate specialists and are only put on the market after a thorough due diligence has been carried out on the property. Although the laws in Turkey are in favour of the buyer and a lawyer is not mandatory when making a purchase, if you prefer to hire a lawyer, we can advise you on a list of independent lawyers.
How long do I have to wait before I receive my title?
It takes +/- 3-4 months for you to have title deeds from the day you purchase your property in Turkey.
What about inheritance?
Unless otherwise stated, if something happens to the title holder, the property is automatically inherited by the spouse or children.
Do I have to pay capital gains tax if I sell my property?
According to Turkish law, you do not have to pay capital gains tax if you sell your property after 5 years of ownership.
What are the local taxes I will have to pay?
There are two municipal taxes that must be paid twice a year, but they are very minimal compared to other European cities. You will also have to pay a rental tax if you decide to rent out your property in Turkey.
Can I invest in more than one property?
Yes, there is no limit on the amount of property you can purchase in Turkey.
Is there a way to get a Turkish mortgage on my property?
